之前拿到一隻htc Magic

很多programe, app都不能裝

所以想來刷看看，至少讓機器可以上2.3，多數的app都能使用。

詳細的內容請參考連結。主要是真對內容的一些補充，讓大家減少一些不確定感。

try this

adb push recovery-green.img /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
cd /sdcard
flash_image recovery recovery-green.img
reboot recovery

This worked perfect. I knew I was going wrong with the mount, it was basically telling me the syntax was wrong, and after pasting your command, I was able to flash the recovery perfect.

I'm not making a separate rom for mtd anymore, I made both DietGB and CM7 compatable with Firerats mtd boot flash and market works.

You must use fastboot and erase system "fastboot erase system -w" if you are new to DietGB or have any install or rebooting problems before posting here If you use the new recovery I compiled from cm7 clockworkmod you can just format in recovery.

I have been using this release for many weeks now, testing and modifing code, recompiling, and I think I finally have the most stable 6355 kernel and rom available, I also along the way added a few things.

 

 

  1. Download the latest version of CyanogenMod.

Note: This does not apply to Magics with 3.5mm jacks.

  • Optional: Download the corresponding Google Apps for the device.*
  • Place all the files you downloaded on the root the device's SD card
  • Reboot into recovery (Hold Home + Power)
  • If you want, perform a full Wipe (wipe->factory reset)-- this will sometimes prevent various issues, but at the cost of all your data/settings/etc.
  • If you don't perform a full wipe, it is recommended to clear the dalvik-cache (wipe->dalvik-cache).
  • Select "Flash zip from sdcard".
  • Select the CyanogenMod update.zip
  • Magic32A / Roger's / Orange Only: Once installation is complete, select "Flash zip from sdcard" again, then

    • Select the EBI1 update.zip

    1. Optional: Once installation is complete, select "Flash zip from sdcard" again, then

    Select the Google Apps update.zip

    1. Once complete, reboot the device
    2. The first boot after flashing a new ROM will be substantially longer than "normal". 5 minutes is not unusual.

    1>    Recovery的版本建議直接使用GUI Tool的。

    2>    換NR或OR也直接用GUI Tool    [http://xxxhuj.pixnet.net/blog/post/29163376-htc-magic-%E5%88%B7%E6%A9%9F hTC Magic 刷機] 這裡抓得到，XDA forum似乎對於這種簡單的tool很有意見，不過這東西本來就是藏了一堆步驟在裡面。 如果用過adb shell幹過SPL, Recovery, Radio的步驟，對這些應該不會太陌生。

     

    如果手動的話：Hboot選完

    要正確的REBOOT才能刷進去，會跟你說用menu+power才reboot寫image。

    重開之後會做刷機format…

    看到 Formatting CACHE: …   表示OK了，POWEROFF做下一歩

     

    3>    刷ROM之前，用WIPE。至少要WIPE data / WIPE dalvik

    4>    介紹的頁面中，指會給ROM、GAPP、GPS修正。實際上要刷ROM、在刷KERNEL，才會是GAPP、GPS修正

    5>    重新啟動的時間，以CyanogenMod的說法，是5min。

    不過實際上的感覺，會在5min以內（以dietGingerBread而言）

    6> 新增： 刷完之後會有沒法輸入中文的問題，因為一開始預設自動鎖定Android Keyboard、Japanese IME，就算裝了中文輸入法，也沒辦法叫出來。

    解決方式：至少找一個可以取得root的檔案瀏覽器，不用root機器，因為dietGB本身就已經root了，只要讓瀏覽器：如es文件瀏覽器，可以具有root權限：

    如此一來，可以到/system/app之下，將****IME(類似LatinIME)以及OpenWNN(這是開放的輸入法，但被索在English+Japan了） 搬走，可以改名、刪除，但建議先搬移到其他地方，哪天要回復也比教方便。之後就看要裝LIME HD還是TC-IME都可以使用了！！
